Lian Bakermans
About me
I started drawing portraits at the age of 14. I was heartbroken and need a way to process this. Drawing people has never let go of me. I studied at the Kopse Hof in Nijmegen, specialising in creative visual therapy. Afterwards, I did a teacher training course in Tilburg and graduated as an English teacher. In 2002, I did a part-time art course in Arendonk. After six years, I graduated in drawing. I also trained myself in watercolour techniques.
I have been working self-employed in my studio in Riethoven for 3 years now, giving workshops and courses in drawing and painting by feel. This takes place in a beautiful, atmospheric quiet setting where we work in small groups.
